Perfectly proportioned boot for my 5’3 height and the adjustable buckles on the calf area allow me to zip up the boot comfortably without any gaps or pinching. Supportive footbed -I wished it was a tad more cushioned, but there’s enough room to allow for an extra insole if needed. I can wear these boots for my entire 8 hour work shift and they barely needed any break in time out of the box. I had done some comparison shopping between these and Ecco boots, and these were a good fit and feel for the value. (The Eccos were a little out of my budget.)

Beautiful and incredibly comfortable boots, the inside is lined with a soft felt-like material that keeps your foot from sliding around. The shaft is quite narrow, so only super tight jeans or leggings could be tucked inside. I am only returning and reordering because the first pair shipped to me were not identical- one of the boots had a shaft that was taller by about half an inch and it was too noticeable to make me keep them. Hopefully the next pair has no defects!

Skinny girls, buy these boots! I have tried and returned nearly 20 pairs of boots this season because they all look like waders, even the ones that supposedly have a narrow circumference. Look no further, buy these boots! The came with the buckle cinched all the way and I had to loosen them a notch! Yes, way! I am an 8 or 8-1/2 and I got the 39’s. They are a tad big but not enough to go down a size, and my toes are glad to have some room. Plus I am able to add an arch support insert with no problem. Nice soft leather, not shiny like picture. I am only returning to get a different color. The brown aren’t dark enough. I’m thinking of going with the gray because I can’t bear the thought of not having these boots since they fit my leg so well!

These boots are great! I imagine the Zappos personnel are all fainting as I have actually gotten the perfect pair of riding boots on the first try! (Well, okay, I did try another pair first with another company and had to return those as the calf was too wide…but nailed it on my first try with Zappos!) Anyway, these are really cute and comfy. They are great for narrow calves and even an adjustable buckle, although they’re nice and narrow even without it. They also look fairly classic as riding boots which I wanted. But still feminine, not too rugged. The ankle shape is just right, not too tapered and not bulky. I also like that the leather isn’t too shiny, but kind of matte. I do need a bit more arch support arch so I insert a thin insert and tuck my orthotic under it, thus the 4 stars for comfort-other than that they are comfortable! Anyway, the boot shape and heel height are just right so that you can dress them up a bit or go out casually, just what I was looking for. I recommend these highly!

I ordered the black version of these in a 6. They turned out to be more of a very dark grey/greenish black instead of a true black. It was a very ugly color. I wear a 5.5 but I ordered a 6 because I wanted to wear them with very thick socks. They were still too big with the thick wool socks so I’d say they are true to size and you should order the size you would normally wear. I’m not too certain about comfort because I didn’t wear them for very long.

Love these. Got them in red because I am so sick of black boots. I did find I had to size down to a 38, I normally wear a 39 or 8 1/2. Nice quality.

Bought these boots when I read that they were good for skinny calves. Definitely amazing! I measure about a 12.5-13 inch circumference and wear and bought the size 7 and I don’t have a gap! Yay! They hit me around mid-calf. Wish they had a bit more support in the foot bed, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker. Definitely buy these boots!

This boot is good looking, seems durable, and fits true to size. In my case, the recommended size conversion was perfect. I usually need 10 or 11, and the 41 (US 10-11) fits great. I have slightly narrow feet, and these boots fit very well. Unfortunately, the footbed of this boot is pretty hard. I wore them for several hours at a party and my feet were dying afterwards. Maybe that’s standard for this style of boot, but I’d VERY highly recommend buying a comfortable insole to stick inside. With a Dr. Scholl’s men’s sport insole (for my tall lady feet), these boots are perfect.

Beautiful boot – great sole and leather. Gray is a perfect shade! I normally wear an 8 or 8 1/2, and the 39 seems big. I would love to exchange for a 38, but it’s out of stock.

I’m very petite with, 5′ with very thin legs, and so the work of finding a boot that looks flattering and not like fishing waders has been exhausting…until now! While there are many styles of boots labeled for “wide calves”, there are none I’ve found for their opposite. Fortunately, some of the reviewers flagged this style as a gorgeous boot that fits nicely on thinner legs. They were spot on! These boots are slightly shorter and more fitted around the calves, which is perfect for me. The leather is really nice, not shiny like it is on a lot of styles I tried on. I’m so glad my search has ended with Eric Michael, and I cannot recommend these boots any more highly.

Beautiful boot, fit my skinny calves well but I am 5’9″ tall and the height of the boot is way too short for me. It was 3″ below my knee. Recommend this this product if you are 5″6″ or shorter.
Otherwise I would have kept it.

The fit and size were perfect for me. I’ve had tried numerous other tall leather boots and the shafts and circumference was always too big or too tall. I bought these boots based on customer reviews and they were spot on!!

I bought the Eric Micheal Montana, brown, in size 39 M. I usually wear 8.5 medium width, and these boots fit perfectly, didn’t want to take them off! THE BEST PART is the narrow calf! I wear size 2 jeans, have thin calves and have struggled to find boots that don’t flap open with a big gap. With these boots zipped up over my jeans and the adjustable buckle on the tightest setting, there is a very comfortable 3/4 inch gap at the top of the boot. I love the soft, slightly shiny leather and the lining keeps my legs unbelievably warm. Footbed is roomy so I can use my arch supports. Outer sole is rubbery and will keep me upright on ice. Excellent boot that ticked all the boxes for my expectations.

Beautiful material and very comfortable. I usually wear between a 6 and a 6.5 and ended up with the 6s in these. My calves are slightly bigger than the average and these fit great.

SHOE: Brown, size 41 (US women’s size 10-11), width M (B).
1) SHAFT. Thank God these boots exist because I have been looking two months for boots with a shaft diameter that does not scale to my waist size as the shoe size goes up. Just because my feet are size 11 doesn’t mean I have 18″ calves! These boots fit perfectly around my calves which are 13″ diameter. I had to tighten the shaft buckles to the tightest notch to get a flush fit; thankfully, these buckles are operational and not just for looks.
2) SIZE. I wear a shoe size usually between 11 and 10: a 10.5 would be most ideal but manufactures don’t make this size, it is extremely rare. In boots and athletic shoes I often go for the 11, whereas with heels I ideally do 10 and stretch it out (otherwise I jiggle around inside 11 and get blisters). These boots were slightly tight in the width at the toe box (even without my inserts in them), and I could feel my big and pinky toes being compressed. However, I wore them to my job with average thickness socks (I run around in a lab all day) and by the end of the day they had surprisingly stretched out and no longer felt tight. I have yet to rewear them to see if the stretching was retained. Also, the front portion of the toe box is very reinforced and the exterior material here is a slight different color and more sheen from the other exterior parts (image).
3) COMFORT. There is very little support or cushioning and the shoe is very inflexible at the shank (during this SOCAL 70 degree F winter). These aspects were improved, however: the flexibility improved as I wore them throughout the day and I was able to put Dr. Scholl’s half length inserts into the shoe without removing the existing bed to add arch and heel support. This is with the ankle buckel in the tightest notch position, I was still able to put inserts in and have my foot feel comfortable.
4) MATERIAL. I can not recall if it is stated what these shoes are made of but the interior smells of genuine leather. This factor, being made of leather, could be why they stretched at the toe box so easily: this is an inherent quality of leather that is often lacking in manmade materials. The exterior material feels very supple (without having worn them), unlike other cheap faux leather shoes I’ve purchased which are usually extremely stiff at first. The interior is lined with a dark brown suede-like material (image). There is some faux leather used for sure in the zipper underliner which a piece has already peeled off from (image).
If these boots are able to withstand casual use I am definitely going to get the black version too! I am overall very satisifed and impressed.

Love these boots! I have thin legs, wide feet and Barbie style high arches. These boots fit very well and are nicely comfortable in the toe box.

Beautiful soft leather boots. Fitted at the calves. I can wear over leggings but probably not Jeans. Love them!
Vanessa –
These are very comfortable. I took them for a test run yesterday at work and my feet felt great all day. I have a narrow calf (12”) so I adjusted the buckle all the way on the last hole and there is still some room so they work great over skinny jeans. I wore socks with medium thickness. Lots of room in the toe area.

Love these boots and while i would prefer a bit taller and natrower calf, the leather quality comfort and fit are top notch!!

this is a beautiful pair of boots but the calf was just to narrow for me; not the boots fault; I was thinking I could open the top buckle to the last notch and that would help but it did not.

I love these boots! Every time I wear them I get lots of compliments. Very happy with my purchase.

Out of the box they were comfortable. I did use the other reviews to buy theses boots – the reviews stated that the calf portion of the boots were very small. They are but that is what I needed. So they fit perfectly for me:)

I love these boots!! They fit my narrow calves, but not too tight so that I can wear them over pants. Beautiful color! Made well.

Room enough for wool socks! No pinching anywhere. Snazzy style with leggings for Fall!

Perfect boots for that casual fall and winter look. Boots are super comfortable. I do find they fit a little on the bigger side…but are perfect with thicker boot socks.
