A Classic All the Way!!
Wow!! I ordered these shoes late Saturday and they arrived on Tuesday. Very classic looks and they fit my foot like a glove. I can hardly tell that I have them on. A little bit more arch support would have been nice, but as one with long, skinny, hard to fit feet, they are just great!! I love them!! Not only do they feel great, they look great!!!

It’s a Classic Alright –
I too found this shoe to run about 1/2 size large; I had to return my normal 8.5 for size 8. This is a well-made, great leather shoe. I have worn some type of penny loafer just about all my life. It’s a great shoe with dress pants or with jeans or skits. It’s a classic and this one from Eastland is no exception.

I love penny loafers –
I first ordered the Eastland II in size [5.5]. A size smaller than I usually wear. I was going by the reviews saying they ran a size larger. I had to exchange them for my usual size 6. They fit perfect. I was very pleased with the fast delivery also.

Love them!
True to size and classic good looks that I was looking for! Originally ordered Bass version and they were very narrow and I didn’t care for the leather either. These were the replacement item and I am glad I tried them. The moment I put them on I knew I had a winner. Can’t beat the style of a classic “penny” loafer with jeans and a sweater…They also have a nice sole and heel. I expect to get a long life out of them.

I like the classic style of this shoe. I normally wear a 9 wide, but this shoe was too big. I will be returning it. I tried to get an 8 1/2 wide, but Zappos was out of that size. I purchased an 8 1/2 wide from another store and it is plenty wide. I have to wear socks. Maybe I should have tried the 9M in this style. I was hoping the sole would be ok in the snow, but it\’s too slick. I\’ll just wear them in the fall.

I bought the Eastland Classic years ago, and absolutely loved them. They did eventually wear out, so I bought the new Eastland Classic II. They came, as promised, within 1 1/2 days. They are very comfortable and just a little on the big side for the size. So get a 1/2 size smaller. I wear these with jeans to look a little more dressy than just tennis shoes. They hold up really well and look nice all the time.

Having very long and narrow feet, I was thrilled when these fit! They are good quality construction, very classic looking, and feel like a million bucks on. I always have trouble getting shoes, so this was amazing to get them online. Returning the size 9 that was both too short and too wide was a breeze.

Excellent shoe. I ordered a half size too large because I was not sure how the sizes ran.

These shoes were received in the time frame expected. Additionally, they are great penny loafers. I am a penny loafer kind of person, and these truly fit the bill.

Very comfy classic shoes. They do run a bit wide and long; just an FYI, you will not be disappointed.

These just arrived today, and fit comfortably right out of the box. I’m very pleased, and grateful to Eastland for offering many of their shoes in a wide width. I take an 8W, and this shoe fit just right with medium weight socks. The tan leather is a nice, rustic looking color and finish, but without being already scuffed up like some “distressed” leathers (that look doesn’t appeal to me). It looks like its already been broken in, and loved a bit. Structured, yet very casual. Also, the stitching isn’t as high contrast as it looks in the online photo. I was concerned about it being too light, but it is much better in person. The leather feels substantial, without being overly stiff. Sure, like most leather items, these could use a bit of breaking in, but not much – they’re already comfortable, and my sense is they’ll just get better. I don’t plan on using these shoes for dressier occasions, but if I’d planned on wearing them with trouser socks (which are thin) I might consider getting 1/2 size down. I’m thinking about doing just that in the black color, for work. Also, I’m a bit self-conscious of having wider feet, and far too many styles just accentuate the size and width, and look like what my Grandma would call “Clod-Hoppers”. I’m often concerned about that when getting a style of shoe which is traditionally a “man’s shoe”, like penny loafers. These shoes are not like that, and if anything, they make my feet look smaller and more feminine. Again, I’m really pleased with these.

I love penny loafers and these were exactly what I wanted. Only wish: would like them in burgundy. Fast service too! Thanks Zappos!

I bought these shoes out of desperation – one of my favorite navy blue loafers had a hole in the sole and our local shoe repair man said he couldn’t repair it. Then I discovered that no one makes navy blue loafers any more! So I opted for this color, and it works just fine with navy blue pants. Plus, the style is great — pure classic — and the shoes are comfortable.

Good to have these old friends back! I love the loafers from the years gone by. An arch cookie gives the needed lift. I like to look at my feet when wearing these classics and I am young again!

These are very sharp looking and fit great. They are comfy during a long workday. I am thinking about putting a penny in the slot.

I was very pleased with the service I received on my orders. The loafers are very comfortable. And the free shipping is marvelous. I will use Zappos in the future.

This is a great shoe. It reminds me of my penny loafers I had when I was a little girl. It is so much better than the Bass brand of penny loafers. I even got a half-size smaller and it fits so much better. Thanks to Zappos, returns are hassle free!

These are the best penny loafer for comfort. If you order your correct size and width, you will only need to break these in. At first, they seem tight, like all good leather products, but wear them a bit at a time, it will not take long. I wear these to support my feet constantly all day long being a housewife in her 50’s. My first pair lasted me five years and I only gave them up because they finally got a hole in them.

It wasn’t the quality I expected. It had an awkward rounded top to the toe which I didn’t notice in the display images and one shoe had leather stains.

I love these shoes. I have to wear black shoes at work and am on my feet most of the day, so these work out just great for me.

I loved the first pair I purchased so much. I ordered 2 more pair in different colors. They are an excellent value for the price.

I bought these for my mother to give her granddaughter for Christmas. Usually when she opens something, she says they love them and the next day my sister has to call to get the receipt for the return. Not this year! The girl wouldn’t take them off. This was exactly what she wanted!

I have been wearing penny loafers since the 1960s. After trying 3 or 4 other Zappos styles, this style and fit were perfect. They look right, feel right, and, to me, just right!

I was very happy with the look of these shoes, but I really needed a wide width, but they did not have a wide. Sometimes I can get away with a medium, but not these. Too bad because I loved them.

The Eastland 1955 Edition Classic II is a very nice looking shoe, but they do run narrow. I ordered my usual size 8.5 M and they were too narrow and I had to return them.
